For a giggle tell him, Brian the Navaho would like to play bass, and that it would be cool if we could rehearse at Mouse Hall in suffolk .. Also inform him that Stuart Cheeze wants to be the manager of the tribute band .. ( He'll Know what i'm on about ! )

Well, I'm out of a job...

Trouble is, I don't think the world is ready for a six foot Steve Priest...

Speaking of Steve Priest, I understand he is in LA now. What is he doing these days, and why didn't he do some footage for that SWEET DVD several years ago? Andy Scott did, why not him?

Hovis Presley of the "Last of the Teenage Idols" fame played with Brians' Band "Sweet B.C." up until Brian died. He's always up for a tour and that.... Trouble is,.. he has now grown an extra leg, and walks into any room,... horizontaly.... So he tells me.

Actually, Hovis ended up doing the majority of the lead vocal duties in the latter days when Brian's illness got really bad. I saw him at a Sweet convention a few years ago, when he fronted a hastily put together Sweet covers band because the band originally booked had pulled out at the last minute, and he did a great job of it too. He asked me if I wanted to get up and do a number and I volunteered for 'Turn It Down' but then he just went ahead and did it himself for some reason...

As for Steve Priest, he appears to just be enjoying the spoils of his success and doesn't really have the need or desire to do anything musically. His wife is/was a high flyer at Capitol (Sweet's US label) so they're probably not short of a bob or two. He regularly posts on the Sweet website though - often ruffling a few feathers in the process. The reason, apparently, that he wasn't interviewed for that DVD is that he 'wasn't asked'.

Hovis probably mis heard you,.. he might have thought you'd said.."I'll turn it down",.. and thus went on to perform the song...(?).

Any truth to it having been Cozy Powell playing on Ballroom Blitz, the original, rather than Mick Tucker?
